Job Description:
A company is looking for a Head of Catastrophe Modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of
catastrophe modeling strategies and tools
Lead the Catastrophe Modeling team, providing guidance, mentorship,
and training
Collaborate with actuarial and predictive modeling teams to
integrate catastrophe modeling into business processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science,
Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or actuarial
designation preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in catastrophe modeling or a related
area
Proficiency in industry standard catastrophe modeling software
(e.g., AIR, RMS)
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a
team
Familiarity with insurance underwriting and risk management
processes
