TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Rockford, Illinois, 61103 About The Position Job Title: ICU Nurse Job Specialty: Neurology ICU, Critical Care (CCU), Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7P - 7A, 12-hour shifts (Nights) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current IL License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in Neurology, Cardiac, and vent care Job Description: - Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care for patients. - Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures. - Document patient care according to standards of care. - Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family instruction, as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy. - Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. - Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. - Utilize critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience; appropriately escalate issues through the chain of command. - Work every other weekend and required holidays. - May be required to float to Step-Down ICU units. - Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center. - Proficiency in using the EPIC electronic medical records system.
